Description
Just like the Schiacciatina, the Torta Sbrisolona is another of Mantua’s culinary traditions.
Tradition says Sbrisolona should be broken by hand into many small pieces or crumbs. The name in fact comes from the Italian word “briciole” meaning crumbs.
The Bottoli Sbrisolona is rich in nutrients and is made with only the very finest ingredients.
It can be served as a dessert, alone, or “softened” with a few drops of Italian grappa or aged brandy. It pairs perfectly with sweet wines and coffee. For a tasty breakfast, try it dipped in warm milk.
